Quiche Lorraine

Quiche:

2 ounces cream cheese – room temp

1/2 cup butter – room temp

1- 1/4 cup flour

1 package bacon – diced

1/2 onion – diced

1-1/2 cups milk – whole

3 eggs

1 pound Swiss Cheese – grated

Cream the butter and cream cheese in a stand mixer. Add flour and salt. Mix until the dough comes together. Roll out and place into pie dish. You might need to spread more with your hands. Bake 350° for 10 minutes. Remove from oven. Set aside. 

With scissors cut the bacon into pieces. Sauté the bacon in a sauté pan until rendered. Remove and discard the fat. Set aside. Dice the onion. Set aside.

Combine the milk and eggs. Whisk together.

In the bottom of your precooked shell, combine the bacon, onion and top with cheese. Pour your milk and egg mixture over the top.

4. Bake the quiche 350°.  Approximately 40 – 45 minutes. Serve the quiche hot or at room temperature.
