My mom made (my girls granna) this all the time growing up. We loved it as a family. It was always one of our favorites. Now all these years later, when I asked her where she got the recipe. She told me. “In a magazine, in South Africa.” I just loved that, and it made me love the recipe even more, because that’s where I was born!x
Granna’s Chicken Broccoli
.
6 Chicken Breast’s – boiled or grilled – diced
2 Broccoli Crowns – cooked
2 Cans Cream of Chicken Soup
1 Cup Mayonnaise
3 Cups Cheddar Cheese – shredded
1-2 Tablespoons Curry Powder
2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
1/2-3/4 Cups Milk
1/2 Cup Panko
Place cooked broccoli in a glass casserole dish cover with cooked chicken. In a medium bowl combine the chicken soup, mayo, 1 cup shredded cheese, curry powder and milk, (less milk for a thicker sauce or more for a runny sauce, I like more milk) and lemon juice. Pour over cooked chicken and cooked broccoli. Sprinkle with panko and remaining cheese. Bake 350 for 40 minutes. Serve with cooked Basmati Rice, Garden Salad & French Bread. Happy Eating!x ⭐️
